A Practical Pathway into a Rewarding Career
The Teachers' Institute (TTI) provides an opportunity to become a fully qualified New Zealand Primary or Secondary Teacher through our one-year, school-based postgraduate teacher training programme.
Train in the Classroom from Day One
Trainees are placed in one of our partner schools for the full academic year, gaining hands-on classroom experience from day one. This immersive approach enables trainees to develop effective, evidence-based teaching practices while building the confidence and skills needed to succeed in today's classrooms.
Learn from Expert Teachers and Mentors
The in-school experience is complemented by a series of TTI workshops and block courses, where trainees come together to build knowledge with our dedicated team of Teaching Fellows and experienced Subject Leads.
