About the event

In this interactive workshop, Dr Ric Campbell will share his vast knowledge on what makes for effective mentoring relationships and approaches in initial teacher education. Ric will cover how to work effectively with trainee and recently graduated teachers, exploring: how to undertake effective observations and provide meaningful and actionable feedback; how to promote effective communication to prevent misunderstandings or issues arising; and how to support the iterative development of teachers.
Ric was Dean of Teacher Education and the Founding Director of the Bard College Master of Arts in Teaching Programme in New York. He has extensive experience working around the US and across the world in the teacher education, teacher professional development and school leadership space and is currently the lead of the Teacher Collaborative Research Programme, which he has designed in New York City.
